| WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER? |
Membership is free and open to statutory bodies, individuals, voluntary and community groups who support the aims and objectives of Chester-le-Street & District CVS and Volunteer Bureau.
Categories of membership:
| Full Membership |
Open to voluntary and community groups who operate for the benefit of Chester-le-Street District:
- To nominate an individual from your organisation, to stand for election as a trustee of the CVS and Volunteer Bureau Executive Committee
- To propose or second others who stand for election of the Executive Committee
- To vote in any Chester-le-Street & District CVS and Volunteer Bureau elections
| Benefits of Membership |
- The named representative will receive election papers along with their notification of the AGM
- named representative can be changed at any time simply by writing to the CVS and Volunteer Bureau
- Discounted rates for a range of services provided by Chester-le-Street & District CVS and Volunteer Bureau.
| Individual Membership |
Individuals, volunteers and trustees who support the work and values of the organisation and who are registered with the Volunteer Bureau. Registration forms for individual membership, are available through the Volunteer Bureau.
The Executive Committee has designated 3 seats for individual members registered with the Bureau. Individual members can stand for election for these places, propose or second others and have full voting rights at any Chester-le-Street & District CVS and Volunteer Bureau elections.
| Statutory Stakeholders |
Statutory bodies who operate for the benefit of the district and who have an interest in the work of both the CVS and Volunteer Bureau and the wider voluntary and community sector.
| Commercial Organisations |
For those companies in the private sector, working for the benefit of the district who support the work of the organisation and the districts voluntary and community sector. Statutory and commercial organisations are welcome to attend the general meetings of the CVS and Volunteer Bureau but have no nomination or voting rights.
| How do we become a member? |
Simply complete an application form and return it to the CVS & Volunteer Bureau. Subject to approval by the Executive Committee your groups named representative will then receive a membership card.
The named representative will receive regular mailings (including CVS News) as well as being the responsible person for official activities such as nominating and voting at the CVS & Volunteer Bureau elections.
| Your rights as a member of Chester-le-Street & District CVS & Volunteer Bureau: |
- Membership of CVS and Volunteer Bureau is free although voluntary donations are welcome.
- Membership of the CVS and Volunteer Bureau offers automatic membership of OVN.
