| REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES |
| Chairperson's Report |
It is a pleasure once again to present the Annual Report of Trustees to the members of our organisation at our Annual General Meeting.
The Annual Report is again in the new format now required by the Charities Commission. Despite the financial pressures and the continuing uncertainty about the future of the Volunteer Centre and the services provided from it, the organisation remains stable and continues to perform well.
The formal report is followed by reviews of the year’s work of the charity presented by the Chief Officer and the teams leading each area of work of the organisation. On behalf of the Directors and Trustees I would like to thank all our staff for their hard work, commitment and achievements over the past year.
Their effort and dedication in continuing to provide and develop CVS / VB services whilst often under severe pressures make a significant difference to our member organisations, to the quality of life in our communities and to many individuals. I would also like to extend our thanks to the many volunteers who support our work in the Volunteer Centre, at Bullion Hall and in the community, and to those undertaking work placements with us, who besides gaining valuable experience also make a contribution to our work.
Finally I would also like to thank all other trustees and other colleagues who have supported the work of the Trustee Board (Executive Committee) for their work and support over the last year in guiding the organisation forward and taking responsibility for what sometimes have been very difficult decisions.
Some of them are leaving us this year, for a number of (mostly personal) reasons. We wish them well and thank them for their contribution. With those who wish to remain and those who will be joining us, we look forward to continued successful collaboration.
Brian Ebbatson
Chair of the Trustee Board
(Executive Committee)
